Admissions
Return to Key InformationNBS in Kenton offers two types of medical provision for Newcastle students:
Full Time School Provision
Students accepted for this type of provision receive their full allocation of entitled teaching based at our Kenton site. If necessary, a modified timetable will be put in place for a short period to support a pupil’s transition into the school.
Pupils can be referred directly by the local authority, via the local authority’s Inclusion Panels or by referral from the home school for a school funded placement.
Specifically Allocated Bespoke Teaching on Medical Grounds
Pupils accepted for this type of provision are referred via the local authority’s Medical Panel. Pupils will follow a bespoke 1:1 timetable as directed by clinical professional. The teaching may take place at home, in a community provision, or one of the school’s provisions.
Referrals must be made by both the school and a clinical professional.
