Makaton to Support Inclusion

In Ferndene we use a Total Communication Approach with some of our learners.

To support communication across the site, “Ferndene’s Sign of the Week” and a greetings board are displayed in communal areas.

This encourages discussion about Makaton and how it can be used in many different to support the needs of learners.
