Chinese New Year at Ferndene and Stephenson

To celebrate Chinese New Year, Mr Lee from the Gem Arts Newcastle came to Ferndene.

Students created a range of origami characters, learnt about Chinese Zodiac signs and traditional Chinese customs.

Students asked many questions about the celebration and gained a better understood its importance.

Students’ feedback that they thoroughly enjoyed the day, helping to complete further work, which is now on display.
